There are two types of insect control units available with the Insectron range:
- Those which electrocute insects on an high tension grid
- Those which trap insects on a special glue board
High Tension Grid
High tension grids are fed by a special transformer, which is safer and more efficient than cheaper but more fragile cascade systems. The tension on the grid is 3200 volts, which has been shown by independent research to be the ideal voltage to kill flying insects without the risk of them exploding and their body parts scattering.
Glue boards
Glue boards, also called sticky boards, feature coloured patterns which have been carefully chosen for their positive effect on the landing behaviour of specific flying insects. Insects are therefore caught much faster than with traditional glue boards. All boards are easy to mount and remove.
