Protection Sleeves

Both UV-A (blue) and green lamps can be protected with re-usable sleeves made from a specially designed plastic. These sleeves ensure that, in case of lamp breakage, any glass fragments are safely contained and do not fall into, for example, food production and preparation areas.

The plastic, which is unaffected by UV light, has a transparency of 99% for UV-A lamps and 100% for green lamps. The sleeves, which are quick and easy to mount and remove, are guaranteed for a minimum of three years. As an alternative, shatterproof lamps are also available. Coated with a special shatter-resistant plastic, they eliminate the need for protection sleeves.
